The 14th IWA Leading Edge Conference on Water and Wastewater Technologies is designed to be the place where new ideas are introduced and the opportunity is provided to interact with the “best of the best”. This is the global conference where new insights into how pioneering science, technological innovation and leading practices shape the major transformation in water management that is underway.

The LET conference is held in a different country every year. After unparalleled success in Singapore (2007 & 2009), Zurich (2008), Phoenix (2010), Amsterdam (2011), Brisbane (2012), Bordeaux (2013), Abu Dhabi (2014),Hong Kong (2015), and Jerez de la Frontera (2015) IWA is hosting its 14th Leading Edge Conference on Water and Wastewater Technologies in 2017 in Florianópolis, Brazil, which complements the approaches of urban water management between megacities, smaller towns and rural environments, driven by the diversity of climatic conditions and the natural and human environment.

The LET 2017 taking place in Florianopolis, Santa Catarina, Brazil, will cover 8 programme topics:  Resource recovery;Technologies for control of micropollutants and pathogens of emerging concern; Advanced anaerobic technologies; Advanced  treatment materials and multifunctional membranes; Applying advanced microbiology/genetics tools; Innovative biofilm and granular processes;Green-blue-infrastructure to enhance urban water management.

  • Outline Paper Submission deadline 31st October 2016
  • Authors notification Before 15th January 2017
  • Registration open 15th January 2017
  • Early Bird Registration deadline (authors registration) 15 April 2017.
