The CANTAB Research Grant is open to anyone conducting research in the fields of neuroscience, psychology, psychiatry and related subjects where cognitive function is being measured.

The grant fund is to support with the costs of conducting a research study or associated with presenting research at a conference or event. The winning applicants will be rewarded with a grant fund, support from the Cambridge Cognition science team and a CANTAB Connect Research* license to assess cognitive function in their research project.

2017 Prizes:

Primary Award - The CANTAB Research Grant £750 ($950)

Two Secondary awards of £500 ($650)

All winners will also receive a CANTAB Connect Research software license with 150 assessments, worth over £1,500.

Who can apply?

The CANTAB Research Grant is open to anyone conducting research in the fields of psychology, psychiatry, neuroscience or related subjects and will be awarded to support a research project where cognitive function is being measured. 

What does the research grant include?

The winning applicants will receive a financial grant to support the costs of undertaking their research, as well as, a CANTAB Connect Research* software license with 150 assessments (worth over £1,500). The winners will also have access to mentoring and support from Cambridge Cognition's expert cognitive scientists, including a free online training session for CANTAB Connect Research to become familiar with all the features and functionality within the software.

CANTAB Connect Research contains validated neuropsychological assessments and cloud-based data management software for fast, reliable and precise measurement of cognitive function.

How do I apply?

The application process consists of the following elements: 

  • Research proposal (max. 2000 words)
  • Statement on how the funding will be utilized (max. 500 words)
  • Reference in support of the application from a senior member of the relevant university faculty.
